About Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Ltd (F.I.C.S)
Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited (FICS) is a family owned non-banking financial institution that was founded by Hon. George Theophilus, SLC, CBE, FIBA, who served as Deputy Managing Director of the East Caribbean Currency Authority (ECCA) in St Kitts from 1975 to 1981, Managing Director/Chairman of St Lucia Development Bank from 1981 to 1991, and Chairman/Director of the National Commercial Bank of Saint Lucia (currently known as Bank of Saint Lucia) from 1981 to 1991.
FICS was incorporated in November 1991 and opened its doors to the public on February 24, 1992. FICS is a diversified finance company that emphasizes the provision of credit and financial services to individuals and corporations. The company is a non-bank financial entity that is legally authorized to accept deposits from the public. FICS’s operations are governed by the Banking Act of 2015, the Regulations and Guidelines of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), as well as the ECCB Agreement 1983 and the Companies Act 1996.
FICS was established in 1992 with initial equity of $140,000. To date, FICS has grown considerably and now has an asset base of approximately $210 million.
The official opening of FICS Corporate Headquarters currently located on #15 Bridge Street, Castries was on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. The “Home of FICS” was wholly financed by the institution costing approximately $5 million. The construction of the three-storey building was managed by Mr Cromwell Goodridge, Project Manager/Civil and Structural Engineer/Consultant from Goodridge and Associates and designed by Messrs Augustin Poyotte and Jeremiah Phulchere of Edge Architecture Inc. FICS occupies the Ground and First Floors. Lorne Theophilus Chambers occupies a portion of the first floor and Credit and Real Estate Development Limited (CARED), our subsidiary occupies the Second Floor.
In 2014, FICS opened its first branch in the north of the island – Providence Commercial Centre, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet. The Branch is managed by Mrs Venetia Salton and her assistant, Ms Bibiana Florent. Presently, the Branch comprises a total of 7 staff members.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors, which comprises a complement of eleven directors with varied skills, is responsible for the governance of Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited. The Board meets regularly to formulate policies, review the financial statements, loans, investments and human resource matters.

About Credit and Real Estate Development Ltd (C.A.R.E.D)
Credit and Real Estate Development (C.A.R.E.D.) Limited is a subsidiary of Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited that commenced operations in October 2013. The functions of CARED include debt recovery, real estate development and management and the provision of consumer credit.
CARED is managed by Mr Nigel Theophilus, nephew of the founder George Theophilus. The institution comprises a team of ten officers. CARED is situated on the second floor of FICS’s Headquarters.

Opened the Rodney Bay Branch at the Providence Commercial Centre, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet in November 2014 with Mrs Venetia Salton at the helm. The branch has a complement of 7 staff members.
