Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the post of Accounts Clerk at Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited. Particulars of the post are available from the Office of the Official Administrator at FICS Corporate Headquarters, #15 Bridge Street, Castries and at the Rodney Bay Branch, Providence Commercial Centre, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
Duties:
The Accounts Clerk will be required to perform the following duties:
1. Prepare cash management schedules (call account and current account).
2. Acquire and prepare salary deduction listings for processing.
3. Review list of outstanding credit advices and ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
4. Prepare wire transfers.
5. Prepare files for upload to posting portal.
6. Post entries relating to non-performing loan recoveries.
7. Post arrears penalty to loans.
8. Prepare cheques for all expenses.
9. Assist preparation of cheques relating to loan disbursements & investment encashments
10. Prepare Electronic Transfer Files (EFT).
11. Post credit advices.
12. Serve as a relief to the cashier.
13. Assist the Accountant with the audit by retrieving requested information.
14. Prepare SCIP Monthly payment report.
15. Prepare salaries schedule monthly for FICS and CARED.
16. File invoices, reports, maintenances and cash management schedules.
17. Liaise with FICS’ bank representatives to acquire deposit details.
18. Prepare loan repayment and payoff schedules and associated notes for Board Meeting.
19. Prepare ECCB reports.
20. Maintain the Collateral Registry portal.
21. Reconcile the funds held in the Collateral Registry against the General Ledger.
22. Prepare loan repayment and payoff schedules.
23. Prepare graphs to compare revenue and expenditure against budget.
24. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Accountant/Official Administrator.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Banking and Finance would be an asset.
· SALCC Associate Degree in Business Administration.
· Be familiar with latest IFRS principles of accounting and International Accounting Standards.
· At least two years of experience working in the capacity of an Accounts Clerk.
· Experience and familiarity with various software particularly with Core Director & Microsoft Office Software – Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
